Coffee Table Books for Interior Designers

There have been countless tutorials written on the art of coffee table styling. From the layering to the textures to the overall look, styling a beautiful setup can be admittedly trickier than it seems. But one non-negotiable of every coffee table? Books. Over the years, our team has curated a running list of favorite books for interior designers, and today we’re sharing them right here on the blog. Note: these picks earn brownie points for both style AND content as a two-for-one win.

Down to Earth

If your style falls somewhere between laid-back and modern, this is the book for you. Some might already know Lauren Liess from her first book, Habitat (included below), and this follow-up read doesn’t disappoint.

Amber Lewis has become somewhat of an icon in the interior design world, and not without good reason. Her signature style has gained her a whopping 1.2 M followers, and this book feels like a natural extension of her brand.

Habitat

This is the book we spy in nearly every interior designer’s portfolio images. It’s not only a complete field guide to decorating, but it also features a beautiful book spine that’s practically made for styling.

Golden Light

My favorite book of 2020, every page seems to envelope me in emotion. The photography is truly stunning – focused entirely on the way an interior makes you feel when you’re in the physical space, not just the way it looks.

Architectural Digest at 100

The iconic publication takes to book form in this 100th-anniversary masterpiece. You’ll walk through the full history of AD, bringing you fresh inspiration for any project.

Travel Home

Itching to travel while stuck at home? Us too. Luckily Caitlin Flemming (one of our beloved clients) wrote a book that marries travel and design in perfect harmony alongside her inspirational mom.
