A Cape Cod Home Designed for the Entertainer
With a history of expertise in creating elevated family homes, designer Stephanie Wiott is no stranger to designing with form and function in mind. When her clients reached out to her to help them bring their 14,000-square-foot waterfront home to life with inviting materials and kid-friendly details, she knew just where to begin.
Due to the scale of the project, the biggest challenge of the design was ensuring the grand spaces still felt intimate while allowing the home’s luxury elements to shine. Working with a dimensional yet timeless material palette, Stephanie added depth and character to the light-filled open floor plan to create a welcoming feeling throughout.
Complete with sweeping ocean-side views of Cape Cod, plenty of jaw-dropping details, and the chicest in-home bowling alley you can imagine, this project is the perfect inspiration fuel. Scroll on to see more from this truly stunning project, and shop the look below.

An intimate living space
Because this home has an open floor plan, Stephanie took extra care to make each space feel distinct and cozy for her clients. Contrasting materials helps distinguish each space while creating warmth. In this secondary living space, a wooden ceiling, navy blue wainscoting, and grasscloth wallpaper add depth and make this new build feel intimate and storied.
An open & bright custom kitchen
Double islands in the kitchen make for additional entertaining and meal-prep space, and an arched alcove over the hood range brings shapely interest to the room. While this kitchen is light, bright, and airy, we love how Stephanie added dimension through textural materials and unique custom details.
A chic wet bar
Wet bars are a great way to make the most of unused wall space and add more function and interest to dining and living areas. This moody and sophisticated design outside the dining room provides the perfect accent space for hosting and entertaining. Dark grey cabinetry sets the tone and creates a contrasting backdrop for playful tile and chic barware accessories.
A dreamy kids room
Stephanie designed multiple kids’ rooms in this home, and while it’s impossible to choose a favorite, this sweet patterned pink space feels extra special. With panoramic ocean views, a tongue and groove ceiling, and a charming window seat to enjoy the views, it’s hard to imagine this little one will ever want to leave.
The home’s entertaining hub
Color-drenched blue walls bring a calming and chic feeling to the entertaining hub of the house. The lower level includes a bar, a small seating area, and a two-lane bowling alley for the family to enjoy their favorite activity in the comfort of their own space. If there was ever a jaw-dropping bowling alley, this is it!
