The Maker

LOCATION: Hudson, NY

DESIGNER: Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg

You can’t come to Hudson without at least peeking inside The Maker. Founded by Fresh beauty brand creators Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, the 11-room hotel is bold, sensual, and unapologetically maximalist. Velvet and fringe meet vintage oil paintings and custom lighting, and each room is themed after a different creative archetype—like The Artist, The Gardener, or The Writer. Even if you’re not staying the night, it’s worth stopping by for coffee and pastries at the café or a cocktail in the moody, jewel-toned back lounge. And yes, the bathrooms are stocked with Fresh products.

Piaule

LOCATION: Catskill, NY

DESIGNER: Garrison Architects

Piaule is all about immersion—in nature, in stillness, and in design that doesn’t shout (but absolutely delivers). The hotel is owned by Nolan McHugh and Trevor Briggs, founders of Piaule Homeware, who teamed up with Garrison Architects to design a series of freestanding, glass-front cabins that dissolve into the landscape. Inside, minimalist interiors are clad in white oak and filled with light. Even the bath products are custom-formulated, and the spa, designed with Turrell-esque serenity, seals the deal.

Wildflower Farms

LOCATION: Gardiner, NY

DESIGNER: Ward + Gray

A deep exhale into nature with interiors to match. Part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, Wildflower Farms features 65 free-standing cabins that feel like luxurious hideaways, designed by Ward + Gray with natural wood, earthy textiles, and wide-open views. The palette is soft and grounded, with playful color moments and tactile finishes throughout. While the rooms are stunning, it’s the shared spaces—like the breezy, barn-like Great Porch nestled between the shop and restaurant—that set the tone from the moment you arrive. There’s also Thistle, the on-site spa, and a working farm that inspires both the menu and the mood.

Deer Mountain Inn

LOCATION: Tannersville, NY

Rivertown Lodge

LOCATION: Hudson, NY

DESIGNER: Ramshackle Studio & Workstead

Housed in a former movie theater, Rivertown Lodge is now a 27-room hotel with an airy, slightly Scandinavian feel. It’s the first hotel project from Kim Bucci and Ray Pirkle of Ramshackle Studio, who teamed up with Workstead to create interiors that feel both tailored and lived-in. Shaker-inspired details, vintage Danish furniture, and locally made goods ground the space in a warm, natural palette that mirrors the Catskills just beyond the windows. Downstairs, the library-esque lobby and fireplace offer a cozy place to linger, or head to the on-site tavern for a bite.
