Fresh Greenery Holiday Home Tour
Decorating our home for the holidays is about building a sense of anticipation. Our tree (unapologetically) goes up well before Thanksgiving, and we lean into the festivities for as long as possible. Each year, my holiday design plan starts with a color of the year and a different inspiration point in mind. This time around, we let natural elements alongside a dusty purple hue take center stage. From loads of fresh greenery to dried citrus slices, we paired holiday classics with brass bells and velvet ribbon in a palette of muted mauve and berry tones for a seasonal twist.

Our fresh greenery was sourced from Gracious Garlands and covers nearly every inch of our home. At 25 foot lengths of the Carolina Sapphire, Leyland Cypress and Seeded Eucalyptus Garland, we were able to swag every inch of our 12 foot ceilings, staircases, bookshelves and bedroom. I wanted to bring holiday decorating beyond the living room with no space off-limits. We’ve jokingly decided the shower archway is the low-key MVP of this year’s holiday decor, and I’m convinced it’s a nook I’ll hang garland year after year.
I had such a fun time dressing up our home this season and can’t wait to host friends and family again around our table. Come on in; I’d love to show you around.

Despite some upkeep involved, I’m such a huge believer in designing with fresh greenery during the holidays. This year, we opted to order from Gracious Garlands and the quality of their greens was second to none. Not only is their commitment to quality incredibly evident in their products, but sustainability is the heartbeat of their business. Also worth noting: they ship nationwide! I know working with fresh greenery, wreaths, and garlands comes with a learning curve, but we’ve put together a simple care guide to get you started.
