An Ontario Countryside Modern Homestead
Set against the rolling landscape of Creemore, Ontario, The Creemore Residence by Interiors By AG is a home designed with both place and personal history in mind. The clients had lived in the home for many years and felt deeply connected to the property, especially its surrounding views. As their lifestyle evolved, they wanted to expand and reimagine the home without losing the character that made it feel familiar.
Led by Amy Harris of Interiors By AG, the project centered on creating a warm, transitional interior that felt elevated but still deeply livable. The team handled the full interior design and styling, along with custom millwork through AG Designs, developing a cohesive concept that carried from the main living spaces to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The result is a modern homestead that feels tailored, comfortable, and closely connected to its setting.

A Kitchen Designed for Everyday Living
At the heart of the home, the kitchen brings together classic materials, modern function, and thoughtful custom details. Interiors By AG selected finishes and fixtures that feel timeless without leaning too traditional, creating a space that works just as well for quiet mornings as it does for gathering with family and friends.
Custom millwork plays a major role here, from the cabinetry to the tailored storage solutions that keep the space feeling practical and polished. The palette is soft and grounded, with shades like Simply White and Coventry Gray adding warmth and contrast throughout the home. Lighting also helps define the space, including standout pieces from Visual Comfort and Lucent Lightshop that bring a refined layer to the kitchen’s everyday function.

Living Spaces That Frame the View
With a property like this one, the surrounding landscape naturally became part of the design conversation. The living areas were planned to make the most of the home’s views while still feeling warm and personal inside. Rather than competing with the scenery, the interiors create a calm backdrop for it.
The furnishings and finishes lean transitional, balancing clean lines with softer textures and more classic details. Built-ins and custom storage were incorporated throughout, giving each room a sense of intention while supporting the way the clients live day to day. The overall effect is comfortable and collected, with enough structure to feel elevated but never overly formal.

Custom Millwork as a Through Line
One of the most defining parts of The Creemore Residence is the millwork. Designed and built by AG Designs, the custom cabinetry, built-ins, and storage moments help connect the home from room to room. Rather than treating storage as an afterthought, the team used it as part of the architecture of the interiors.
This approach allowed each space to feel tailored to the clients’ routines, whether through functional kitchen cabinetry, living room built-ins, bedroom storage, or bathroom vanities. It also created visual continuity throughout the home, giving the interiors a cohesive rhythm without making every room feel exactly the same.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms with a Softer Point of View
In the more private areas of the home, the design shifts slightly quieter while still carrying the same warm transitional style. The bedrooms were designed to feel calm and personal, with layered materials and a restrained palette that supports rest without feeling sparse.
The bathrooms continue the home’s balance of function and finish. Carefully selected fixtures, cabinetry, and materials give these spaces a polished feel, while the custom millwork ensures they work well for everyday use. Deeper tones like Charcoal Slate add contrast in select moments, grounding the softer whites and grays used throughout the home.
