21 Marble Must Haves for Every Home

As of lately, I’ve been curating a vast collection of marble objects. We’re in the final stretch of designing The Austin Tudor, and I’m certainly feeling the absence of marble counters as we lean into soapstone. However, upon careful study of my favorite spaces, the lived in patina of natural marble is an element that every well designed space carries. From tables to bookends, I’ve rounded up 21 marble must haves at every price point.

Let Marble Anchor the Space

Every room requires an anchoring element to ground a space. Marble can serve as that anchor so well. Along with modern lamps on a budget, it’s been top of mind. I’ve been seriously considering a marble dining table for a few reasons:

  • In our wallpapered dining room, a marble dining table would help to reflect light and offer an illuminating quality
  • The natural materiality of marble will continue to provide a living finish
  • There is a sculptural quality any large piece of furniture crafted of marble which makes every piece feel custom

Small But Mighty

I think what makes marble so powerful is its ability to make a statement on a small scale. From trinket boxes to vintage ash trays, even the tiniest use of marble will elevate a space. A few of my favorite marble items I’ve sourced lately include:

Marble is one of the easiest things to source second-hand. I always start my search on Facebook Marketplace and on Etsy. The long lifespan of marble makes it the perfect heirloom piece.
