Flea Markets + Street Artists
“While traveling, I will ALWAYS pick up art from street artists that set up in front of tourist areas. Some of my favorite sketches + oil paintings came from the weekly art show in Barcelona that I picked up while living there – all under $50 euro! I’ll almost always pick up a sea-scape, and I love oil paintings with animals (especially cows). Abstract paintings are also nice to mix in. For a cohesive look, it’s all about a good contrast of styles + coordinating color palettes.”
Tip: “I always swap frames to give vintage art an instant refresh. Amazon has great inexpensive ones, but you can also get good prices Hobby Lobby or Michael’s using their 40% off one item coupon!”
