This Ontario Home Perfectly Balances Modern & Cozy

Before beginning the build, the homeowners hired the AG Interiors team to help guide the architectural plans, involving them in each detail to complete the project — from making the finish selections to finalizing the millwork detailing and styling the last shelf. 

The end result effortlessly balances the sleek lines of this home’s modern architecture with warm elements that soften each space and make you want to sit and stay awhile longer.

An Effortlessly Chic Kitchen

The effortlessly chic kitchen sets the tone for the remainder of the home, complete with warm woven barstools, statement-making pendants, and that jaw-dropping marble waterfall island. AG Interiors is known for its custom-quality woodwork, with an in-house team of woodworkers and cabinet makers that have spent years working on custom residential builds. In the kitchen, their woodworking magic is on full display with its beautiful cabinetry details and a stained wood ceiling that perfectly contrasts the gray cement floors. 

Because kitchens are utilitarian in nature, a space that is both functional and brings a sense of comfort and livability is always refreshing. In the pantry, gold lighting and hardware add warmth to the space, while floating shelves help display thoughtfully styled vintage cookware and artwork. 

The Cozy & Streamlined Office

Along with more custom wood built-ins, the AG Interiors team designed an arched built-in shelf to soften the space and create the perfect focal point for styling vintage treasures and collected pottery. 

A matching wood desk centers the room and commands attention, adding another dose of warmth to the room. Who wouldn’t want to take a meeting from this space?

A Modern Picturesque Bedroom

The commitment to infusing warmth into every corner continues in the bedroom, where wooden ceilings draw the eye up and set the tone for the cozy layers throughout. A large picture window brings in natural light, allowing your eye to rest on the surrounding landscape’s views.  

A Marble Sanctuary Bathroom

In the adjoining bathroom, Viola slabs on the shower walls and matching vanity make a bold statement and create a marble sanctuary. There’s just something about veiny marble and brass hardware accents that seems to work every time, and no detail was untouched in the selections here — from the vintage switch plates to the brass shower rail.
