Choosing Countertop Materials with Caesarstone

When it comes to designing spaces that will stand the test of time, choosing the right countertop material is one of the first decisions we consider. Hard materials are always a significant investment, and we want to make sure we are selecting them with quality and durability in mind as some of the most used surfaces in our spaces.

In designing our showroom and office, we started by selecting two beautiful surface materials designed by Caesarstone. After using them in our Austin Tudor kitchen and Lake House, we were confident they would bring the durability we needed. As our central gathering place, our studio serves multiple functions, acting as a meeting space for our design team to create, a showroom, and a celebratory spot for all the moments in between. Investing in a material that is easy to clean and designed with high-quality craftsmanship gave us the peace of mind we needed.

Narrowing Down Materials

Before we go all in on any hard surface material, we like to see a few options up close and personal to get a better sense of their look and feel. Caesarstone makes ordering samples on their site easy, so we could try a few different options and see them in the space before narrowing it down.

Carrara Quartz on the Island

For the center island and hub of the space, we wanted something light and bright to contrast the wood cabinetry. After one too many red wine spills on white marble countertops, we didn’t want to risk choosing a material that made cleanup stressful. Caesarstone‘s Dreamy Carrara Quartz Countertop gave us the look and feel of marble while still providing the durability and function we needed.

A Black Tempal Contrast

We wanted the second material we chose for our desk surfaces to provide a contrast to the Carrara Quartz Countertop on the island. Once we had looked through several options, we landed on Caesarstone’s Black Tempal in the natural finish. It was a tried-and-true choice since we had already used this material in the Tudor kitchen. We love how this material has the organic look of Soapstone while still being super easy to clean and maintain.

Designed for Durability

With so many beautiful finish options that stand up to everyday life, Caesarstone‘s surfaces are a no-brainer for us to provide a strong foundation in all of our gathering spaces. The style, durability, and worry-free maintenance allow us to enjoy the moments at home and work to make the day-to-day a little more carefree.
